Privacy Policy
At Gift Posse we take your privacy seriously. We do not give or sell your personal information to any third party without your explicit prior consent unless required to by law.
What we collect:
- There are multiple ways to create an account and signin with Gift Posse
- By selecting a user name and a password, and providing an email address.
- By authenticating with Apple, selecting a user name, and providing an email address.
- By authenticating with Facebook, selecting a user name, and providing an email address.
- By authenticating with Github, selecting a user name, and providing an email address.
- By authenticating with Google, selecting a user name, and providing an email address.
- By authenticating with Microsoft, selecting a user name, and providing an email address.
- When you create an account with Gift Posse via method 1, we request a user name, an email address, and a password. We store these in a database. Passwords are never stored in clear text. We do not have any method of viewing your password. For your personal safety, we recommend that you use a password that is both strong and unique to this system.
- When you create an account with Gift Posse via method 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6, we request a user name, and an email address. We store these in a database.
- Each account has an associated user profile. While most of the information is optional, we do require the following information: your name, country of residence, date of birth, gender, and default currency.
How we use the information that you provide:
- While we will try to minimize its use, system administrators and/or Posse Software Inc. employees may have access to view and or review any content that you provide, whether you intend to make that content public or not. This access is primarily for technical support purposes, and to help maintain quality control.
- We may use the provided email address to contact you from time-to-time. It will be the primary method to respond to support-related queries, such as the resetting of lost passwords.
- When you first register with Gift Posse we will send you a welcome email. If you are a group administrator, you may also receive emails from us relating to the administration of your group.
- As a member of a group, we will also send you emails based upon the activity in that group.
- The information that you provide in your user profile consists of two types - required information, and optional information. We use the information as follows:
- Name - to address you in communication, and to identify you to other members of your group(s).
- Country of residence - to determine your default country for shopping and advertisements
- Date of birth - to ensure that you are legally old enough to use this site, and to wish you a "Happy Birthday!"
- Gender - to address you correctly, and choose which type of profile to present.
- Default currency - to display the price of your wishes in the correct currency.
- Optional information - to share with other members of your group(s), in order to assist them in fulfilling your wishes.
Routine Information Collection
All web servers track basic information about their visitors. This information includes, but is not limited to, IP addresses, browser details, timestamps and referring pages. None of this information can personally identify specific visitors to this site. The information is tracked for routine administration and maintenance purposes, and lets us know what pages and information are useful and helpful to visitors.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Gift Posse requires cookies to be enabled in order to manage your session, and to better serve you with customized content. Advertising partners and other third parties may also use cookies, scripts and/or web beacons to track visitors to our site in order to display advertisements and other useful information. Such tracking is done directly by the third parties through their own servers and is subject to their own privacy policies.
Controlling Your Privacy
Please note that you can change your browser settings to selectively disable cookies on a per-site basis if you have privacy concerns. Consult your browser documentation for instructions on how to block cookies and other tracking mechanisms.

What is the DoubleClick DART cookie? The DoubleClick DART cookie
is used by Google in the ads served on publisher websites displaying AdSense for content
